Caring For Animals is What We Do

Animal Socialization at ACAR

At ACAR, we are passionate about improving animals' quality of life. A key element in achieving this is animal socialization. By teaching animals to experience new occurrences in a positive way, we make it easier for them to go through their daily lives. Every dog is raised and trained in a home environment. We take them to events, hospitals, nursing homes and even drive thru StarBucks! We bring them to the office and the attend church with us. We work with senior care as well as special needs kids. We also raise awareness of their plight in needing to be rehomed as they loose their cute cuddly puppy characteristics. We come across all creatures in all circumstances and we strive to become a conduit of love and faith in finding them furever loving homes.

For Example...

Our canine friend, Hannah, is the perfect example of the benefits of socializing dogs and other animals. Initially, she was anxious at the vet's office. The strange sounds, smells, and people made her feel on edge. To familiarize her with this new experience, we started taking her for frequent visits to the vet — where she was always spoiled with treats. After a few happy visits, she learned that the vet is basically the dog version of a candy store. She's also been able to learn that successfully walking next to a wheelchair results in treats.
